The BSF organizes workshop on financial literacy for it family members

Shillong, May 31: The Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier organized a workshop on Financial Literacy for the BSF personnel and their family members at Frontier HQ, Shillong. More than one thousand BSF personnel and their families from various Sectors Hqrs and units under Meghalaya Frontiers attended the programme. Similar Workshop on Financial Literacy was organized also at HQ DG Assam Rifles.

The BSF personnel were imparted guidance in financial investment, management of their hard earned money and savings in future following various safe methods.  A series of presentations was given by Shri Varun Malhotra, Financial Adviser and Shri Rahul Saini, consultant from New Delhi.

The programme was conducted as a part of the social welfare on  the guidelines of DG BSF for the BSF personnel who are serving at far-flung  and disturbed area on International Border.The aim of this workshop was to make BSF personnel aware  about their  financial aspects to improve their future adopting long term savings.

Financial Literacy programme was conducted to improve the financial status of  BSF Jawans as well as  family members systemically to create new avenues for bringing positive changes in their life.

Shri P K Dubey, Inspector General, Border Security Force, inaugurated the programme and graced the occasion.  All the  ranks were benefited with workshop which was held for two days in four different sessions at Umpling.
