Shillong, April 08: in a late information received, the Election Commission has approved the list of following documents as alternative photo identity documents for establishing the identity of voters at the time of poll.
This would be for those voters who by some reason are not able to produce their EPIC card but have their names in the voter list, like Passport,Driving License, Service Identity CArd with photograph issued to the employees by centralor state Govt PSUsor Public Limited Companies.
Document like Passbooks with photographs issued by the Bank or Post Office, PAN Card,Aadhar Card, Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR, MNREGA Job Card, Health Insurance Smart Card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour, Pension Documents with Photograph, Authenticated Voter Slips issued by the Election Dept.(SP News)
