Shillong, April 04: The Governor of Meghalaya Banwarill Purohit, today has clamp administrator rule in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, and the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills District Mr CV Darlong Diengdoh will take charge of the GHADC.
The minister incharge District Council Affair, Mr Prestone Tynsong, when asked by the SP News Agency, is a fact that the governor has imposed administrator rule in the GHADC, the minister said, yes, that administrator rule was imposed.
Sources said that the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills District Mr CV Darlong Diengdoh will take charge of the GHADC, since the Deputy Commissioner of Tura will be on leave for official training.
With the imposition of Administrator Rule all political claim to form the next executive committee in the GHADC has kept in abeyance. The former CEM of the JHADC Mr Denang T Sangma resign as the CEM without facing the No Confidence in the floor of the House after passing the vote on account for the month of April to July 2017.
