Shillong, November 24: One 17 yrs old boy of Lakadong, East Jaintia Hills District, an HNLC Cadre surrendered on the 23rd November, 2016 before the superintendent of police East Khasi Hills District without arms.
In the press statement issued today from the police department to the media houses stated that surrendered cadre is a minor aged 17 years only, hence his name is withheld. He joined HNLC seven months back and made connections with HNLC through Facebook.
This instance has indicated that HNLC is inducting minor boys in its cadre through Social Media. In this connection, the District Police urged the parents and guardians to be watchful of their children and wards when they are on social media.
