Shillong, April 14: The General secretary of the Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA) Mr H.M.Marbaniang said that all school private or mission under the SSA funding pattern, all the teachers who are 12481 in numbers and 4th teachers who were 1521 in numbers they will stop teaching from Tuesday as they have decided to go for indefinite strike. This strike will continue till the state government fulfills their demand.
The MSSASA teachers in the state they will abide by the decision taken at the public rally held in Shillong on the 12th of this month, the SSA teachers alleged that the present MUA-II government under the chief minister ship of Dr Mukul Sangma should released their salary and the arrears of the 12841 teachers from April 2016 as per the circular issued by the Commissioner and secretary of the Education department who is the State Mission Director of SEMAM on the 31th October 2016, the government should enhance the sally of the 4th teachers from 2013 where the last revision is done.
The state government should also solve the problems of the result of Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) who has completed their training 2013 and 2014, which kept hanging for more than one year. These teachers under take their training with the National Institute of Open schooling (NIOS) as per the agreement sign between the state Government and the NIOS. The remaining teachers from the SSA School who has not train are 7822 are yet to complete their professional qualification (D.El.Ed), and the 4th teachers should also get their training as per the NCTE norm.
The General Secretary of the MSSASA Mr H M Marbaniang said that the government attitude towards the SSA and the 4th Teachers who are teaching in the SSA School who were there teaching for a decade to cater education to the children’s the government has not taken any responsibility to the needs of the student and the teachers.
