Shillong, Nailur 14: The Joint Action Committee South Lyngngam Border Area (JACSLBA) of South West Khasi Hills District announced that they will support the United Democratic Party (UDP) Candidate Mr Pious Marwein in the coming MLA Election 2018 from the 35-35-Ranikor Constituency.
In the press statement issued by Mr W G Dkhar Chairman and Mr C Nongbri Secretary of the JAC South Lyngngam Border Area, said that as they have decided in the general meeting held on the 2th August 2017, that they will support the UDP candidate who ever get the party ticket, as the UDP has nominated Mr Pious Marwein the organization will support the party candidate.In the 2018 MLA Election.
In the meeting of the JAC that was led earlier at Nongumsur on 15th August 2017, the organization has asked both the aspiring candidate from the area Mr Airmarshal Diengngan and Mr Pious Marwein to get their opinion if either one of them get UDP ticket they will work together or not in the coming election. The JAC claims that both of them assured that if anyone gets the party ticket from the UDP they will work together for the interest of the party.
After the UDP party nominated Mr Pious Marwein to be the party candidate for the 35-Ranikor Assembly Constituency, the JAC was surprise to see that Mr Airmarshal has declare that he will contest in the Coming MLA Election from 35-Ranikor Constituency under South West Khasi Hills District.
But from the JACSLBA has decided that they will support Mr Pious Marwein who is the party candidate of the UDP from 35-Ranikor Constituency. The Chairman Mr WG Dkhar and the Secretary Mr C Nongbri in the press statement said that they will work hard to ensure that the UDP candidate win the Coming MLA Election in 2018.
