Jowai, June 10: The Jaintia Student Movement central body today expressed concern of torn national flag hoisted at Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) office which is already torn which show disrespect to the national tricolor flag.
The JSM they try to meet Mr Thmbor Shiwat Chief ember (CEM) of the JHADC to present to him with the new national flag to replace the torn flag but he refused to meet them.
The jsm stated that it was violation of ” the prevention to insults to national honours act 1971.” After the inspection of the torn national flag by jsm and media persons, after pointing out by the JSM, latter on the day the torn national flag was replaced by JHADC authority .
