Shillong, May 09: The central body of the Khasi Student Union (KSU) today meets the Vice Chancellor of the North Eastern Hills University (NEHU) Professor Krishna Srivastava in his officer Chamber and discuss with him long pending issue related to the University.
The President of the KSU central body Mr Daniel Khynriem, said that the meeting was an informal one, it’s their courtesy form their part to meet the newly Vice Chancellor who take charge recently. In the meeting they have discussed with the Vice Chancellor on the appointment of the full-fledged Registrar and Finance Officer in the University.
In the discussion they have urged the Vice Chancellor to advertised all the vacant post that is there in the university in the different post in different department in the University. At present the post of the Registrar and Finance officer are look upon by person who were appointed on adhock bases.
The KSU president said that in all these past two years when they met all the acting Vice Chancellor to discuss the problem face by the University , all the Vice Chancellor gave an excuse that they cannot take any decision since they are not full-fledged chancellor.
