Shillong, August 05: The Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank is all set for internet Bank facilities to and in principle the board has agree to have branches in all the block headquarters to serve the people in the rural areas.
Speaking to SP News Agency the General manager of the bank Mr AB Purkayastha said that the board has decided to have the MCAB branches in all the Block development officer’s headquarters in the state it not a full flagged branch it might be a counter center.
At the same time the general manager pointed out their problems also that since the bank has already adopted core banking system, in the place where internet facilities is viable they will open full flagged branch but in places where internet connection is not available they will go with the extension counter but the target is to have their present in all the block headquarter in the state.
To make more convenient to the customers in the banking system the MCAB has gone one step ahead to adopt the system of Internet Banking facilities from the bank they have taken up the issue with the Reserved Bank of India (RBI), the bank now are available with the RTGS and NEFT also with the ATM facilities so customers can do their transaction within the country.(SP News)
