Shillong, July, 07: East Khasi Hills District Under-19 Open Judo Championship 2014 organised by the Office of District Sports Officer in collaboration with Meghalaya Judo Association (MJA) have been shifted to 18th and 19th July 2014 starting at 8 am at the Indoor Sports Hall JN Sports Complex Polo Ground Shillong.
Entry Form is available with the Office of the district Sports Officer during office hour or from DOJO (Judo Hall) Polo. For new entrants and other martial arts athletes, organizers have arranged separately for Demo Judo camp w.e.f. 8th – 15th July 2014 in DOJO Polo Ground. Last date for submission of entry form is on or before 15th July 2014 at the O/O DSO EKHD.
The organizers have also arrange a programme to commemorate the death anniversary of U Tirot Sing Syiem on 17th July 2014 at 12 noon in the same venue with the highlight on the documentary film of U Tirot Sing Syiem. Interesting athletes can also contact mobile no 87946-40973/98630-43125/98630-
This Championship is also as a preparatory ground for the forth coming Meghalaya State Level Judo Championship 2014 to be held soon in Shillong and The National Youth & Junior National Judo Championship 2014 to hosted by Meghalaya in December 2014 in Shillong. Recently in Guwahati on the 5th July 2014, L P Warjri present President Meghalaya Judo Association was being felicitated for being elected as the Vice President of Judo Federation of India and also as the Observer at the AGM and Election of Office Bearers of All Assam Judo Association.(SP News)
