The MoU was sign between the GoM and the GoI to set up 30000 bottling plant in Meghalaya

Shillong, December 09: The Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Mr Dharmendra Pradhan calls upon the Chief Minister, Dr Mukul M Sangma at his residence today during the Union Minister’s visit to Shillong. A Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the Government of Meghalaya and the Government of India with the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd during the meeting.

Speaking to media person at the BJP office after signing the MoU with the state Government, the Union Minsiter said that with the signing of this MoU the government of India will set up a bottling plant in Meghalaya with the capacity of 30000 refill centres for the LPG Cylinders.

The cost of the project is Rs.75 Cores; the plant is already there in Meghalaya which need to revive it. With this installation there will be no more shortage u LGP in the state. The Central Government would like to see that the people of Meghalaya get LPG connection even in the rural villages.

At present from among the North Eastern State Meghalaya is the lowest in LPG Connection it has only 27% in the state. The BJP government wants to see that the people of the region also ripe the development activities carried out by the BJP Government at the centre.

On the Coming election the Union Minister said that the BJP will play a major role in Government formation, and it sees the exit of the Congress party from Meghalaya and the new government will be in place in Meghalaya. His coming to Meghalaya today is also to sign a MoU with the Assam Rifle to impart skill development work to the people of NE Region.

While commenting on the youth of the region the Union Minister said that the people of this region are hard working people and very honest to their job, but they need guidance that is why this MoU was sign today to upscale the youth of this region.
