Jowai, July 28: For smooth and proper implementation of Government Schemes in West Jaintia Hills District, the Meghalaya State Development Reform’s Commission held a review meeting with the 17 departments of the District on the implementation of the schemes within the District.
The presentation on the activites, project and schemes undertaken by the various departments and budget allocations during 2015 -16, 2016- 2017 were also being highlighted by the concerned departments. Implementations of the Schemes and problems faced by the Departments were some of the agendas discuss during the meeting.
The Commission has asked the departments to publicize the scheme generated by them for the benefit of all the beneficiaries and also to organize frequent workshops and awareness programmes for the benefit of all. The Commission also stressed on need of co-operation of the various departments with regard to providing space in their notice board for displaying of various schemes where ever possible to let the people know about the same.
