Shillong, September 06: The Deputy Chief Executive Member of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) Augustine R Marak, term the Non Cooperation Movement taken by the employees of the Council is politically motivated.
The Deputy CEM, Mr Marak blame the previous Congress Executive committee who has ruin the GHADC, the nine month sally that the employees is yet to received, five month is due when the Congress Executive committee is in power and four month is during this NPP let EC.
The previous Executive committee has withdrawn in advance from the share of the major minerals to the tune of Rs.22 cores, and from the minors minerals tune the tune of Rs. 5 cores, and they have left behind with the pending bills to the contractors more than Rs. 100 cores.
When the present Executive Committee under the leadership of Mr Denand T Sangma took over the GHADC, they have paid the areas of nine installment which is pending since 2011, the state government is not releasing the share of major and minors minerals due to the GHADC.
It was seen that the Congress MDC Mr Stevi Marak openly demanding to imposed administrator rule in the GHADC, from the Executive Committee demand that he should resign as MDC without knowing what the previous Executive committee under the congress EC has done, the GHADC mess is of the Congress.
Under the NPP let Executive Committee under the leadership of Mr Denand they have streamlining the GHADC, but the congress MDC is playing politics with the innocent employees of the District Council,
From the Executive Committee they have written to the leaders of the NCM that they are ready for dialogue and has requested them to resume their work. The GHADC will soon get the fund of Rs. 100 cores of the central government under the Article 275. They are ready to pat their sally once these money come.
