Shillong, August 08: The Local MLA Mr Embhahlang Syiemlieh, who is also the Founding Chief Adviser of Physical Culture & Sports Foundation of Mawlai send his greetings to Khrawbok Marwein and Albanrilang Pearson Mylliem Umlong the two promising and aspiring Kickboxers of Mawlai Iewrynghep as they have brought laurels and medals of one gold and one silver each for the State at the just recently concluded WAKO India Senior National Kickboxing 2016 held from 3rd – 7th August 2016 at Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
This is also a prestige for the Mawlai People for their courageous acts they have displayed in reaching to such level of the games in spite of shortage of sports infrastructures, financial supports, and manpower development, Khrawbok Marweiñ managed to bag Gold Medal at Ring Sports (Low Kick) below 51 kg. while Albanrilang Pearson Mylliem Umlong contended with a Silver Medal for the Ring Sports (K-1 Rules) below 51 kg categories.
The duo will reach Mawlai on midday of 10th August 2016. Both of them have been felicitated last year on the occasion that had brought bronze medal at the National and regional Level of such Kickboxing Championships. Physical Culture & Sports Foundation of Mawlai gave its best regards to FKJGP Mawlai Circle for their financial support to the duo of Mawlai so that they can take part in such earlier Championships. The Foundation extends its another best wishes to Synjuk Samla Mawlai Iewrynghep and its Headman (Rangbah Shnong) for providing the Community Hall free of cost for the youth to play martial arts.
