Shillong, June 29: The Raj Bhavan, Shillong will be conducting a series of programmes on 1st July, 2017 to commemorate the Death Anniversary of Late Captain Clifford K. Nongrum, Maha Vir Chakra posthumously.
The programme that will be organized on the 1st July at the Raj Bhavan, “Marathon Run” to be flagged off by the Meghalaya Governor, Shri Banwarilal Purohit at 6:00 AM at the starting point at Madan Iewrynghep and at finishing point Basketball Court, J. N. Sports Complex, Polo, Shillong.
On this day “Blood Donation Camp” at 9:00 AM at Raj Bhavan, Shillong. (Late) Captain Clifford Keishing Nongrum Memorial Day Function” at 10:30 AM at Raj Bhavan, Shillong. On the same day, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Meghalaya will organise a Mega Event at J. N. Stadium, Shillong where the Special Drive to enrol left out voters will be launched.
The Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya will grace the occasion as Chief Guest. The official programme will take place from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM to be followed by youth entertainment show at the Basketball Court located at the J. N. Complex.
