Maligaon, Nov 13: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of N. F. Railway successfully rescued 03 minors and 09 destitute ladiesfrom different stations in different drives and checksconducted during 08th to 10thNovember, 2022 over N. F. Railway. The rescued minors and ladies were later, handed over to respective Childline, NGOs for their safe custody and further course of action.
On 08th November, 2022, RPF of Rangapara North conducted a routine check at Train no. 15818 (Donyi Polo Express) at Rangiya railway station. During the check, they rescued one run away minor girl from the train.
In a drive, conducted on 09th November, 2022 against female beggar at Guwahati railway station, RPF of Guwahatirescued 09 female beggars. All the rescued ladies were handed over to an old aged home in Guwahati for their safe custody and further course of action.
In another incident on10thNovember, 2022, RPF of New Jalpaiguriconducted a routine check at New Jalpaiguri railway station. During the check, they rescued one run away minor girl.
In another incident on the same day, RPF of Guwahaticonducted a routine check at Guwahatirailway station. During the check, they rescued one run away minor boy. Later the minors were handed over to Railway Childline, New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati respectively for safe custody and further course of action.
During the month of October, 2022 RPF of N.F. Railway rescued 52 minors and 07 runaway women. The rescued children,women were handed over to respective Child Line and NGOs, parents and Government Railway Police.
