Shillong, October 02: The AdventuRers and The Shillong Cyclists Forum inaugurated the first public Cycle Stand, for parking Cycles in Meghalaya, at Police Bazar Shillong. This stand was sponsored by Delhi Mistan.
This stand was put up to encourage citizens to cycle to the market, so that they can move about freely, and get on with their chores, after securing their cycles in the stand.
This stand was installed on Swatch Bharat day, as cycling is a simple, non-polluting, healthy means of transportation for short distances said Mr Kailash Varma Coordinator For the AdventuRers in the press statement.
