The State BJP slammed Congress party for its failure to bring any development

April 01: The State Bharatiya Janata Party unit has slammed Congress party for its failure to bring any development in the state.

Addressing a rally recently in the city, BJP Candidate Shri Shibun Lyngdoh said that the sitting MP Vincent Pala had made many claims of cleaning Umiam reservoir but no step has been taken by the MP.

He further went on to say that the sitting MP and State Government were claiming of saving Wahumkhrah river through a Central project but till date the river continues to be in same sorry condition and it is dying a slow death.

Stating that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had raised concern on the death of Nido Taniam when he was killed in New Delhi,  BJP also condemned the student’s cold blooded murdered in Delhi but he lambasted Rahul Gandhi for not raising any concern when two people were burnt alive in Shillong.

Later , BJP candidate from Shillong Parliamentary Constituency Shibun Lyngdoh said that Narendra Modi fever has gripped the country including Shillong and BJP is definitely forming a new Government at the centre.

He also said that the BJP holds special place in its heart for North East and its problems.

Workers and supporters of the party were also present in the meeting and the party has planned similar rallies in different parts of the state ahead of the Lok Sabha election.(SP News)
