Three infant rhino calves were rescued from the fringe village of Kaziranga National Park

Guwahati July 29: The Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) , the joint wildlife welfare facility run by  Assam Forest Department, International Fund for Animal Welfare(IFAW) and Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) I wildlife situated in Kaziranga National Park has attended  twelve  wildlife rescue cases in the present wave of flood as on today.

Three  infant rhino calves were rescued from the fringe village of Kaziranga National Park on Wednesday. The calves are under observation the CWRC large animal nursery for stabilization.

Continuing from 26th July 2016, all together five  rhino calves  rescued in flood are under observation till this flood update is prepared on Wednesday evening. Apart from that eight  hog deer cases were attended. Six  were released in the wild, one is under  care, one  found dead on arrival. One eastern swamp deer dead on arrival at the centre.
