Shillong, July 30: The elders of the 58-Rongara-Siju constituency like Mr Leving R Sangma, Larsen R Sangma, Eliot N Sangma and Lothji M Sangma all are from South Garo Hills District in the press statement issued to the media houses said that as the genuine voters of 58- Rongara – Siju Constituency came to know from the news papers that their Local MLA Rophul S Marak, MLA of 58 – RongaraSiju Constituency has illegally accused his seven applicant when they submitted their application on 17 July this month to his residence at ,Nongalbibra, South Garo Hills ,who are seeking for some financial help through SRWP MLA Scheme for the year 2014-2015, they were amused to see that the MLA file an FIR against his own people for seek help from the Local MLA.
However the Local MLA,did not accepting their application very much wrong and showing totally disrespect to his genuine voters. Besides, he concludes that his voters are his opponents as well as they are trying to tarnish his good image through their applications.
How can be simple application papers of his voters would tarnish his good image? Or how can be his voters became his opponent when general election is over? Every voters of respective constituency has every right to approach and to redress of grievances to their elected MLA.
But ShriRophul S Marak, instead of helping and solving the problems faced by his voters, he acted against them and accusing their approached as an illegal and he even he filed an FIR to Nongalbibra Police station and sends them to Police custody like a notorious criminal which show him as an irresponsible leader.
Such kind of Immoral behavior and un civilized attitude of the MLA of 58- Rongara – Siju Constituency is very much unwell come by the people of his own constituency. So we the genuine voters of said constituency strongly condemned such kind of actions in this civilized society.
The voters of the 58-Rongara urged their MLA not to repeat such kind of blunder mistake in near future. Otherwise, we may resort to demand of his immediate resignation as an MLA from 58 – Rongara – Siju Constituency. (SP News)
