Shillong, July 17: In one of the session in the tow day Nadi Festival 2016 organized by the Asian Confluence in Shillong is a media interaction. The former Deputy Chief minister of Meghalaya Mr Bindo M Lanong, and who is also a former editor while taking part in the inter action he said “ what people need is fact and truth with no suppression in reporting.The News paper is to serve the people in the right direction.
Others participant in the inter action, are from different part of the North Eastern region, including journalist from Bangladesh and senior journalist from others like from New Delhi , and Editors from Shillong, like Patricia Mukhim Editor of Shillong Times, former Education minister and former Editor Mr Manas Choudhury , the Editor of the SP News Agency Mr Starfing Pdahkasiej and the Editor of Dongmusa Mr BP Dome and many others from different media houses.
In this interaction different views has been put forth from different journalist, and the main issued is how to give correct reporting and fact on the incident. All participants in the media interaction feel that authority concern should always come out with right information not to let the media to give their own views on their news report.
