Shillong June 7: With the objective to instill in the villagers and the young ones about the importance of preserving and protecting the environment, the Bhanam Evangelistic Association and Mission Society (BEAMS), along with the Church Elders of Lum Rapleng District, Members of Mawmuthoh Presbyterian Church and the students of Shekinah Public School joined hands together to take part in World Environment Day. The event took place in the Shekinah Academy Campus in Knaan, Mawmuthoh, Shillong, where the participants planted over hundred tree saplings to mark the day.
