A 20 member Myanmar Army Football Team visited the Assam Regimental Centre

Shillong, March 05: A 20 member Myanmar Army Football Team consisting of Six Officers and 15 Other Ranks visited the Assam Regimental Centre for 13th Indo Myanmar Sports Exchange Programme 2018 with effect from 27 February to 03 March 2018. The overall responsibility for conduct of visit was of Assam Regimental Centre under the aegis of Headquarters 101 Area.

Friendly football matches were played between Myanmar Army Football Team, Directorate General of Assam Rifles Football Team and Indian Army Red Football Team at Polo Ground, Shillong. Post conclusion of football matches, Major General Balraj Mehta, Sena Medal, General Officer Commanding, 41 Sub Area being the chief host presented mementos to all players of Myanmar Team and Army Red Football Team. The Myanmar delegation leader Brigadier General Zin Min Htet also presented momentos to all participants.

The delegation visited places of tourist interest to include Dawki, Mawlynnong village, Elephant Falls and Maitilang Park.The Myanmar delegation departed to Myanmar on 03 March 2018.  The efforts and administrative arrangements made by Assam Regimental Centre were appreciated by one and all members of Myanmar Army team.
