A friendly football match between the two border guarding force BSF and BGB was held at Dalu

Shillong, July 06: The better co-ordination among both the border guarding forces a friendly football match between the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) was organized at the Dalu, South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. The BSF won the match by 7-0.

Among the visitors from Bangladesh were Col Kazi Aniruddha, Sector Comdr, Lt Col Md Anusur Rahman, CO, along with other BGB officers  and other ranks and from BSF side:  Brig (Retd) UPS Pathania DIG, along with Commandants of local BSF battalions and many other ranks witnessed the match. Local people in huge numbers from nearby bordering village were present during the friendly match and enjoyed the game.

“These sporting events are organized as part of confidence-building measures between the two border guarding forces”.  One of the players from the BGB side said “They have come here to play the friendly match and very pleased with the arrangements and friendly and positive response from bordering population. We hope to play many more matches and improve brotherly relations between the twp border guarding force of the two nation.
