Shillong, May 13: The Congress MLA from Mawlai Mr PT Sawkmie urged the Urban Affair Minister government of Meghalaya to resolve the problems of encroachment in the scheduled area, the MLA from Mawlai remained the minister incharge urban affair what he has said in the floor of the house that the MUDA problems will end soon.
The MLA from Mawlai in the press statement issued to the media today said that what the minister said in the floor of the house, it means those areas outside Municipal will have separate building bye law operated by KHADC. It is very unfortunate that till today the issue has not been settled.
Mr Sawkmie said the people of Mawlai constituency has faced a lot of problem regarding the encroachment of MUDA, it takes a lot of time to get building permission, Completion Certificate, time consuming to visit the office, fees charges, and many formalities to be fulfilled.
The Congress MLA, urge the Minister Urban affairs to speed up the issue like he had assured on the floor of the August house in the assembly that the issue of MUDA encroachment in the scheduled area will end soon.
