Shillong, November 02: The Principal Secretary of the Election Commission of India (ECI) has call for the Preliminary meeting on poll preparedness for the forthcoming general election to Meghalaya Legislative Assembly that will be held on the 9th November 2017 in Nirvachan Sadan in the office of the Election Commission of India.
The meeting will be chair by the Senior Deputy Election Commissioner of India Mr Umesh Sinha. The Chief Election officer of Meghalaya was asked to make a detail presentation on poll preparedness so far and others related issue.
In the letter sent from the Election Commission of India to the Chief Electoral Officer of Meghalaya, he was asked to intimate the name and designation of police officer nodal officers for the ensuing general election. The meeting will be held on the same day.
