Govt of Meghalaya has revise the minimum wages in respect schedule employment

Shillong, January 31: The Principal Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Labour Department has informed that in continuation of the Department Notification No LBG 75/2012/246 dated 6.6.2016; the Governor of Meghalaya is please to revise the Minimum Wages in respect of Schedule of Employments with effect from  1^st October, 2016.

The government has fix for unskilled category, the minimum wage per day from 1^st October, 2016 has been fixed at Rs. 160.00+24= Rs. 184.00. For semi-skilled category, the minimum wage per day has been fixed at Rs. 170.00+26= Rs. 196.00. For skilled category, the minimum wage per day has been fixed at Rs. 180.00+27= Rs. 207.00 and for highly-skilled category, the minimum wage per day has been fixed at Rs. 200.00+29= Rs. 229.00. The variable Dearness Allowance has been rounded off to the next higher rupee.
