Shillong, Sept 03: The Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District informed that, in view of a report received that a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 was in Sr. Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya, Postal Division, Shillong and the COVID-19 positive case requires aggressive contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation as well as containment in the interest of health of general public against any possible spread of COVID-19.
The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District in exercise of powers conferred under the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 and Amendments thereof for containment of outbreak of COVID-19 in an order issued on 2nd September, 2020 has directed Sr. Superintendent of Post Offices, Meghalaya, Postal Division, Shillong to temporarily remain closed until further orders.
The Deputy Commissioner also inform that a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 was in R. K. Bros, Keating Road and the COVID-19 positive case requires aggressive contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation as well as containment in the interest of health of general public against any possible spread of COVID-19.
