Shillong, June 30: The Government of Meghalaya, Megha Health Insurance Scheme will commence the policy period from 1st July 2017, and the beneficiaries that have already enrolled with MHIS in 2017 can avail the benefits of MHIS smart card in all the Hospital Empanelled with MHIS.
The Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya cum Chief Executive Officer MHIS, Shri H M Shangpliang, along with Doctors and officials from the Health Department, the New India Assurance Company Limited along with Medicare TPA Services had a meeting today along with representatives of the Private Hospitals in the office of the Directorate Health Services, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
The meeting was held in preparation to the start of the MHIS Phase III policy period intended to address issues for a smooth implementation of MHIS Phase III. As on date more than 1,00,000 households have been enrolled under the scheme.
