Shillong, July 01: On 30th June’ 2016 at 4:40 PM on receiving information that some persons were selling suspected drugs and narcotic substances at Mawlai Phudmuri Pdengshong.
Police of Mawlai PS and accompanied by personnel from Special Cell, Shillong swung into action and laid a trap operation at behind the Don Bosco Musuem. In the operation, police apprehended five persons namely , Pynhunlang Dohtdong 30 yrs of Mawlai Phudmuri, Pdengshnong , Shri John Sunny Lyngdoh 27 yrs of Golflink, Shyiap, Shillong, Shri Pailaskhem Dohtdong 26 yrs of Mawlai Phudmuri, Pdengshnong , Shri Alan Marwein 18 yrs of Jaiaw Shyiap, Shillong and Shri Kenny Jyrwa 19 yrs of Mawlai Mawiongrim
The police caught them while they were coming in a vehicle bearing Regn No. ML05 M 2453 and entering into the compound of Shri Pynhunlang Dohtdong and from their possession recovered two golden container and 22 small paper packets weighting 2.60 grms of drugs.
The success operation was the result of the close coordination and cooperation of the Local people of Mawlai Phudmawri who desired that such criminal activities should not be allowed to take root in this locality.
