Shillong, July 06: Laitumkhrah police station has received an FIR from the Paying Quest House from Up Land Road on 15/06/2017 that unknown miscreants committed theft at one paying guest house at around 12:00 Pm at Upland Road, Laitumkhrah and stole away, Two HP Laptops , One Micromax Mobile, One Tablet, Two Laptop chargers and one mobile charger, One pair of clothes, Shoes and one blue Safari trolley bag which belongs to the students staying as Paying Guest. A cognizable case was registered vide Laitumkhrah PS Case No. 87(6)2017 U/S 380 IPC and investigation was on to nab the culprit.
During investigation with the help of the Special Cell, East Khasi Hills, on 03/07/2017 at around 8:00 Pm, Police and Special Cell apprehended one person namely Mr Audrick Nelson Nongrum 19 years of Madanriting Block-F from Madanriting. On his leading, they recovered two Laptops One Lenovo and one HP, one Puma Bag, one computer speaker from the house of the accused person which pertains to Madanriting PS Case No. 61(6)2017 U/S 380 IPC which occurred on 30.06.2017.
Further, two HP Laptops with charger, one Safari trolley bag, one Micromax mobile, one Phillips Trimmer black in colour with charger, one black colour formal pant, one white shirt and one pair black Addidas shoes were also recovered in connection with Laitumkhrah PS Case No. 87(6)17 U/S 380 IPC and seized the stolen items accordingly. The accused is a suspected heroin consumer and is being arrested in both cases.
