The BSF arrested 3 Bangladeshi 1 Indian national with 198 Yaba tablets from SGH District  

Shillong, April 22: In its commitment towards making the region drugs free, on 21st Apr 2022, acting on specific tip off, Border Security Force Meghalaya in a joint operation with Meghalaya police apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals and one Indian national with 198 Yaba tablets from border area of South Garo Hills.

During the operation, troops of 43 Bn BSF along with Baghmara police cordoned a suspected area in village Malikona under PS- Baghmara, South Garo Hills Distt. After searching the suspected area joint ops party apprehended 04 miscreants, in which 03 are Bangladeshi national and one is Indian.

The party seized 198 yaba tablets from their possession, which were meant for smuggling to Bangladesh. All Apprehended were identified as Rakibul Hoque 22 resident of village kalapani District Mankachar Assam.

The three Bangladeshi who were arrested were identified Jaidul islam 24 years,  Riazul Hoque 30 years, Kazimuddin 22 years all are under Durgapur, police station of  Bangladesh. The apprehended persons along with seized Yaba were handed over to PS Baghmara, South Garo Hills district for further disposal and a FIR was lodged against all of them.
