The BSF to organized Half Marathon to pay homage to BSF Martyrs of Meghalaya

Shillong, October 11: The Meghalaya Frontier, Border Security Force will organize Half Marathon of 21 kms to pay homage to BSF Martyrs of Meghalaya and felicitate their families at Mawpat, Shillong, East Khasi Hills distt­­­­ of Meghalaya on 22nd Oct’ 2017. The run will be open for all age groups.

A huge turnover of participants is expected in the event. Participants from all walks of life from Meghalaya including athletes, doctors, Border guards, policemen, media representatives, senior citizen and children etc. are expected to participate in the run. The event of 21 Kms run will start from BSF campus Mawpat via Lumshyiap-Golf link – Mawlai – Garikhana – Rilbong- Civil Hospital – Governor House – Nongmynsong – Iserwat and conclud at Mawpat.

This Half Marathon will be organized all over the country on 22nd October to commemorate valiant deeds and supreme sacrifices made by Sentinels of Border to serve the nation. Border Security Force Half Marathon have following triple targets,Run for the Martyrs,Run for public connect,Run for Unity.

BSF Half Marathon-2017 will be flagged off from Mawpat lal ground  , Shillong and the minimum age for participation in Half Marathonis 18 years. Through such events, Border Security Force Meghalaya Frontier endeavors to create a feeling of oneness and security among all.
