Shillong, October 02: The Marwari Mahila Samity Shillong, today distribute food items to the jail inmate in the Shillong District Jail to commemorate the 148th Birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi today.
Speaking to media person outside the District Jail the president of the Marwari Mahila Samity Smti Shulila Gupta said that the organization has taken this decision to distribute food items to the jail inmate in Shillong District to make the inmate that they also part of this celebration.
The Mahila has sought the permission of the DGP government of Meghalaya which was granted to them and this is the first time that the Marwari Mahila has taken the step to distribute food items to the jail inmate in the Shillong Disrict jail.
