Shillong, July 10: The Chairperson of the Meghalaya State Women Commission Smti Theilin Phanbuh inform that from the commission has summon the Secretary of the Delhi Golf Club in person to appear before the commission on the 14th of this Month in relation to the compliant lodge by Smti Tailin Lyngdoh on racial discrimination that happen on the 24th June 2017 at the premised of the club.
The Chairperson of the MSWC today has called the complaintnant Smti Tailin Lyngdoh and Dr Nivedita Barthakur an employer and take their statement before the commission. From the Commission will see what step will take after they secretary of the Delhi Golf Club appear before the commission.
The Chairperson Smti Phanbuh thank the National Commission for Schedule Tribe and the National Commission for Women for taking coinsurance of the incident and hope that action will be taken against the Delhi Golf Club under the constitution of India as per law of the land.
Smti Tailin Lyngdoh also said that from her side want that action will be taken so that this thing will not happen again in future, “ I was shock at that time because I have been in London, Abu Davi I have never have face such disrespect, but I my own country I was humiliated by my own countrymen”.
Dr Vivedita Borthakur today said that, they were under pressure not to pursue with the incident indirectly, but they will not bow down they want to see that discrimination should not happen in future not only to Smti Tailin Lyngdoh bat to everyone and she want that the rule and regulation of the Delhi Golf Club should be change. Dr Borthakur felt that the colonial hung-over should be removed.
