Shillong, August 03: The president of the Garo Hills State Movement Committee (GHSMC) Mr Nikman Marak said that in the meeting with the Union Minister of State Mr Kiren Rijiju, the union minister apprise them that to initiate for the creation of a new state first should be taken up in the state Assembly.
Speaking to SP News Agency over phone from Delhi, Mr Marak said that the Union minister of state has appreciate their move, what they have discussed he will convey to his cabinet minister and the prime minister and he told the delegation that it should be initiate from the state assembly then they will be able to discussed.
Mr Marak informs that tomorrow they are going to meet the Union Minister of State at the Prime Minister Office Dr Jitendra Singh. From the GHSMC appreciate the Union minister who has spear his time in meeting them and listen to their demand for separate Garoland.
