Maligaon, August 04: Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Alipurduar Division rescued one minor girl child from Alipurduar Jn station on 01.08.2019.
It is learnt that on that day when passenger train number 55466 arrived on platform number -2 of the station; it was noticed by the RPF staff that one minor girl is sitting alone in the coach earmarked for persons with disability.
It was about 7-30 pm and the girl aged about 15 years was in distressed condition. On being asked she informed that she had fled away from home. For ensuring safety and security of the girl child, she was immediately brought to RPF/POST/ Alipurduar Jn to avoid getting lured by child traffickers or other anti-social elements.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Alipurduar Division later handed over the minor girl child to NGO Rural Aid Childline for necessary action as per Juvenile Justice Act after observing all formalities.
