Tura, July 29: SDRF team stationed at Tura, West Garo Hills district on Sunday recovered the body of a man from Jengal River, after a 5 hours long rescue operation.
The deceased identified as William M Sangma was reported to have fallen into the river while visiting Rong’kusi water fall located on the way to WilliamnagarBy Pass, on Saturday evening.
According to Smti. M MSangma, Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, Tura, the rescue operation for the missing man commenced at 0600 Hrs on Sunday and her team was able to recover the body at 1000 Hrs. (PRO, CD&HG)
