Shillong, May 06: The retuning officer from the 53-Ampati Constituency Mr DD Shira said that the Static Surveillance Teams (SST) on Saturday seized Rs.4.29 lakh of money from Garodoba from one Village Employment Council secretary of village Lower Samalgre under Ampati Constituency.
The Returning officer to the 53-Ampati Constituency said that since this is election people are allowed to carry cash Rs.50000 only but this amount is beyond the election norms. The matter is under investigation to ascertain the sources from where the money actually come from.
