The third and final module of the AFC B Licence course concluded in Shillong

Shillong, Nov 11: The third and final module of the AFC B Licence course concluded in Shillong over the weekend.

The course was organised by the All India Football Federation in collaboration with the Meghalaya Football Association.

Twenty-two coaches from around the country, including seven from Meghalaya, took part in the course under the guidance of former professional footballer and experienced coach Mariano Dias.

The course, which utilised practical and theory classes, began on 4th November and concluded on Saturday evening. The results will be announced by the AIFF at a later date.

At the conclusion of the module a small closing ceremony was held in the presence of the MFA’s Chairman of the Coach Education Committee Dipshon Ryntathiang and MFA Treasurer Wanshan Kharkrang.

“The MFA aims to be a centre of excellence with respect to coach education and that was behind our intention of bringing this course. They  still have to work on various aspects of developing infrastructure.

The resource persons and football ecosystem but in the long-term we see Shillong as a place that will become key for the better development of football in our state and the wider North East,” Kharkrang said.
