Shillong, March 14: The scenario of women’s protection is deteriorating day by day in the entire state. This is an irony that culprits commit crimes and just get away with it. The police department is very active in arresting militants and monitoring them. But when it comes to monitor drug mafias and rapists they are blindfolded. The chief minister in his recent speech had mentioned about crimes committed on women but he failed to check on the home minister whose guest house was used for raping an teenage girl.
What about the meghalaya house in delhi and kolkatta ? These houses are also a recreational ladies club for several high libido MLAs. We would not like to name them nor tarnish their image, but the CM is all aware of these extravagant parties. The home minister should have resigned on moral grounds thereby allowing initiation of a fair probe.
The congress brigade has time and again defended several tainted MLAs including Amapreen lyngdoh, Deborah Marak, and several others. When law cannot take its courses of action on the bigwigs then how can we expect a speedy justice when it comes to the common people. The HNLC is in the verge of reviving its operation kyllang to punish rapists, but this will not be possible without the peoples cooperation. This time we will not spare rapists that attack small children.
Talking about drugs, the CM had taken the stand to grab the kingpins, but who are these kingpins,in so many years we haven’t seen a kingpin getting arrested. Only youths who consume drugs and small timers get arrested. What about policemen who consume drugs and stage fake encounters. What about the drugs that are seized .Why does the CM forget about alcohol menace? Every year hundreds of our youths aged from 25 to 45 die just due to alcohol related cases.
The CM should start visiting hospitals and get data’s of such deaths. Why do we forget that alcohol is also a silent killer be it local made or foreign liquor the circumstances are the same. Most of the criminal offences against women are committed under the influence of alcohol. Be it rape, domestic violence and so on. Today’s youths are more into alcohol than they are into drugs. Drugs are costly but alcohol is very much affordable. Now death is sold in bottles and this business has the highest turnover.
The state cabinet should look into this matter also. Even our filthy rich MLAs are not far behind in consuming imported costly drinks. The state cabinet had given compensation to the WKH accident and jaintia hills Rs. 50 thousand per head and 20 thousand for the injured. What a shame on the MUA 2. The Prime ministers Narendra Modis relief fund had sanctioned RS 2 lakhs per family and state govt sanctioned only 50 thousand. This same govt doesn’t hesitate to spend crores of money on useless festivals thereby filling pockets of private business men . What is the use of these festivals? Is there any outcome ? Why is the public money spent on extravagant shows ?When it comes to the poor the govt is dry of funds.
The HNLC hereby welcomes the newly elected central body of the KSU to work for the upliftment of our Hynniewtrep people .The HNLC are not against development nor are we against railways but the govt should start the entry exit points to check influx at the earliest. Once the entry exit points are setup then only can think of railways. In terms of development the HNLC would like to compete at par with other developing states. Railways are a necessity for the people because the transportation costs of essential commodities shall fall. But it is up to the seriousness of the CM and his cabinet to start the entry exit points before our people gets outnumbered by illegal outsiders.
