We should not rely on reservation policy this might end at any movement: Smti Debora

Shillong, July 20: The Federation All Meghalaya Adhock School Teacher Association (FAMASTA) today felicitates 4 students who made it to the top 20 in the recently concluded Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC). This ceremony was conducted in the Dorbar Hall at Mawkhar.

The award was hand over by the chief guest Smiti Deborah Marak who is the education minister of Meghalaya. Speaking as the chief quest, she said that we should not rely on reservation policy this might end at any movement, she stress on the need that student should have the spirit of completion.

To develop the child, the Education minister said that, there is a need of collaboration between the parents, teachers and the students, all the three pillars required to work hand in hand for the up-liftmen of the student. The Joint Director Education Mr P Ryngksai was also present.

The meritorious student were 2nd position holder Idarikor Wanshong from Eriben Presbyterian Secondary school Shillong,  Sakaniroi Tariang who hold 6th position from KJP Synnod Mihngi Secondary School Jowai, Eveningstar Ryntathiang from Mawkynsah Secondary School Mawkohmit who hold 12th position and 19th position holder Erickson Lyngdoh also from Eriben Presbyterian Secondary School Shillong.

The award was the initiative by the executive members of the FAMASTA during their meeting on May to be part of the social and welfare activities. This felicitation was to inspire the other student as well to continue to work hard in the near future.
