Shillong, April 07: A small group of youth from Tura after seeing the sorry plight of the Police personnel performing their duties under the leadership of Smti Abi Neetu form the Tura Youth Team and started preparing food, tea and snacks and distributed to police personnel who were on duty.
The TYT carried this job with their own resources and with the assistant from few people, they not only distributed food items to police personal but also to the underprivileged people in and around Tura Town and adjoining area of the town.
While the police personnel are performing untiring duty day and night in Tura and adjoining areas, nobody was bothered to find out as to whether they had enough food or water to sustain them the whole time. What the police heard were complaints from various quarters that they are strict and not allowing people to move around without proper passes.
