BSF organized skill development programme for the unemployed youth

Shillong, April 16: The Border Security Force, Meghalaya Frontier once again Skill Development programme started an orientation programme for the unemployed youth for the border area at Praharinagar, Tura. A group of 24 youths from bordering districts of West Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills Districts of Meghalaya joined the programme.

The youths were imparted pre recruitment training on various subjects like, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Current affairs, Mathematics, English and Hindi, besides improving Physical fitness through PT, Sports and Games.

The aim of this training was to prepare these youths  mentally as well as physically to appear in recruitment tests of Army/CAPFs/State Police and also to make them aware  about the selection  process for recruitment in Armed Forces.

This type of training is being organized for youths of bordering areas in all Districts of Meghalaya State under the initiative of Sh P K Dubey, IG BSF Meghalaya Ftr with the help and support of Govt of Meghalaya under National Skill Mission Scheme by 26 Bn BSF at Prahari Nagar, Tura, West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya.

The programme was conducted as part of the project “ Making BSF Units a partner in the National Skill Mission’’- conduct of coaching for Border youths for recruitment examination of CAPFs by SSC.
