Shillong, March 05: The Celebration of 8th Annual Day and Convocation was celebrated in NEIGRIHMS on 5th march, 2018. The Programme started at 2pm in the Institute Auditorium. All Faculty, Paramedics and Students of NEIGRIHMS were present on the occasion.
The Programme started with an invocation song by NEIGRIHMS MBBS Students followed by Welcome Address by the Organising Chairman. Dignitaries lighted the lamb and announced the Programme opened. Indira Gandhi oration on the topic “Arts of grant writing” was delivered by the Guest of Honour, Prof. C. Adithan.
It was very informative to the faculty and students who got detailed information for making the research project. Director NEIGRIHMS spoke on the importance of the day and the vision for the NEIGRIHMS for coming years. Prof. S. C. Parija, Director, JIPMER, Puducherry was the Chief Guest on the occasion who shared his experiences with the NEIGRIHMS family on the occasion.
He stressed on honesty and integrity of medical professionals for benefit of the patients and in the services of the community. The Degree certificates were awarded to the MBBS pass outs by the Chief Guest. At the end, the Cultural Programme was held which was enjoyed by all the participants of the event.
