Computers, computer chairs & tables and Gym items have been distributed by BSF

Shillong, October 12: As part of Border Management Plan, a Civic Action Programme was organized by the Border Security Force at bordering village Naljuri in East Khasi Hills district, and Dawki, Pyrdwah West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya.

Mr Sultan Ahmad, DIG, SHQ BSF Jowai inaugurated the Civic Action Programme alongwith Shri D S Rathore, Commandant of 30 Bn BSF at Pyrdwah and Dwaki. The Headman of village Pyrdwah, Dawki and Naljuri alongwith teachers, school children and villagers were also present in this programme.

In this programme Computers, computer chairs & tables and Gym items have been distributed to community hall/club of village Pyrdwah for usages of villagers. The stationary & sports items have been distributed to school authority of SFS school Dawki,  Sardar Vallabhai Patel Govt school Dawki, Khasipnar higher secondary school Dawki, primary school Amlingpiyang and primary school Ronkum.

The BSF has been keeping regular touch with the bordering people to meet its endeavor to help the poor and needy people.                A heartfelt presence of local Headmen and other respected persons of the locality made the programmes very successful. People of these villages praised the goodwill gesture by BSF done at these villages.
