Shillong, June 27: Member of Parliament Shri.Vincent H. Pala inaugurated the Community Hall of Rngi Jynriew Dong Rum, Lawjynriew, Nongthymmai in the city today in the presence of Local MLA Dr. Jemino Mawthoh, Former MLA Shri.Bindo. M Lanong, Local Headman Shri. B.Lyngshkor and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri.Vincent H.Pala stated that development can become a reality only through the active participation and co-operation among stakeholders at different levels especially the public at the village level.
The parliamentarian also expressed hope that the newly inaugurated Community Hall becomes a public asset where the people, especially youths can engage in sports activities and vocational training so as to enable them to be free from restlessness, which more often than not leads people towards engaging in anti- social activities.
Local MLA Dr Jemino Mawthoh meanwhile stated that the Community Hall ensures that the locality elders and office bearers have access to a proper office which will instead pave way to the functioning of the locality in a proper manner.
