Tura, July 13: Four persons were abducted on gun point today from a remote location in West Garo Hills, along India – Bangladesh border.
The four Assam based traders were in Baghmara, the district headquarter of South Garo Hills on a business trip. They were returning this morning in a private vehicle, when the suspected militants stopped their vehicle at Machanpani, near Dalu.
Dalu is about 45 km from Tura.
At least, 10 abductions have taken place along Tura – Dalu route in the last two weeks, which included a teacher and rest all traders. (SP News)
