Shillong, April 04: The governor of Meghalaya has declared 9th April on Wednesday next week, as paid holiday in all private commercial and Industrial establishments including shop and factories situated in the state of Meghalaya being the date of poll to the general elelction to the lok sabha.
The governor has declared the polling day as paid holiday so as to enable the voters to exercise their franchise. This was inform by the under secretary to the government of Meghalaya, labour department.(SP News)
