Shillong, December 08: An oil tanker ferrying diesel and petrol to Mizoram while reaching Mukakhu near Ladrymbai in the East Jaintia Hills District overturn on the road side and the oil in the tanker leak it which attracted nearby people to collect in their utensil.
The Superintendent of police of the East Jaintia Hills District told SP News Agency that they come to know that many people were injured while rushing to collect oil but so far no official report was received by the police.
It was also told that the tanker caught fire and the Fire service was press into service to control the fire, the cause of the fire was yet to ascertain. The police are still investigating the incident. It was also inform that the driver and the handymen felt from the place of accident.
